Founded by lifelong friends Danny Calderón, an agricultural economist, and Eric Álvarez, an agronomic engineer, Pachamama Experiences was born from a shared passion for Costa Rica’s rainforests, rivers, and mountains — and a deep desire to protect them through education and meaningful connection.
 

Together, Danny and Erick bring over 20 years of combined experience as adventure guides. Both are not only experts in canyoning, hiking, and wilderness survival — they are also devoted naturalists with an extraordinary knowledge of tropical ecosystems, birds, and native flora.
 

As family men raising their children and dogs in the heart of Turrialba, Danny and Erick infuse Pachamama with the values they live by: community, gratitude, and respect for the Earth. This is a business built on friendship, family, and purpose.
